FUN FACT: Incorporated in 2004, Parkerfield is the newest town in Cowley County.

Parkerfield has a motto, “Where Every Person Matters”.  The City of Parkerfield, just east of Arkansas City, was incorporated on March 9, 2004, by more than 300 residents who wanted to maintain “the friendly rural character of the community”.

This small community, which is growing every day, consists of approximately 409 residents, with 156 residences, and boasts numerous housing choices that continue to attract individuals to its friendly, rural character. Close proximity to Arkansas City allows for minimal commute to employment, dining, shopping and services. Parkerfield offers the best of both worlds; a rural life style and close proximity to employment opportunities and great education within the USD 470 Arkansas City School District and the Cowley College campus.

Parkerfield’s newly constructed community building doubles as a city hall and a venue available to rent for family functions and other events.
