The County’s
Newest Town Makes Inroads
Parkerfield has a motto, “Where Every Person Matters”. The City of Parkerfield, just east of Arkansas City, was incorporated on March 9, 2004, by more than 300 residents who wanted to maintain “the friendly rural character of the community”.
This small community, which is growing every day, consists of approximately 400 residents, with 156 residences, and boasts numerous housing choices that continue to attract individuals to its friendly, rural character. Close proximity to Arkansas City allows for minimal commute to employment, dining, shopping and services.
Parkerfield’s newly constructed community building doubles as a city hall and a venue available to rent for family functions and other events.
The City of Parkerfield covers approximately one square mile of land and has about seven miles of paved roads.
