Become a KSBDC Client

Please provide complete the appropriate steps if you are starting a business, an early stage business (In businesses less than 1 year), an existing business (In business more than 1 year), purchasing an exisiting business, or an Inventor.

Start-Up Business

If you are starting a business, please complete the following:

  1. Download, fill out, and submit the Consulting Information Form.
  2. Complete the Initial Assessment for a Start-Up Business form.
  3. Completed documents can be E-Mailed, faxed, or mailed. KSBDC contact information is to the right, and is also included in the assessments.
  4. After submitting all documents, if do not hear from us within 3 working days, do not hesitate to call the Cowley County KSBDC office.

Early Stage Business (In business less than 1 year)

If you are an early stage business, please complete the following:

  1. Download, fill out, and submit the Consulting Information Form.
  2. Complete the Initial Assessment for an Early Stage Business form.
  3. Completed documents can be E-Mailed, faxed, or mailed. KSBDC contact information is to the right, and is also included in the assessments.
  4. After submitting all documents, if do not hear from us within 3 working days, do not hesitate to call the Cowley County KSBDC office.

Existing Business (In business more than 1 year)

If you have been in business more than 1 year, please complete the following:

  1. Download, fill out, and submit the Consulting Information Form.
  2. Complete the Initial Assessment for an Existing Business form.
  3. Completed documents can be E-Mailed, faxed, or mailed. KSBDC contact information is to the right, and is also included in the assessments.
  4. After submitting all documents, if do not hear from us within 3 working days, do not hesitate to call the Cowley County KSBDC office.

Purchasing a Business

If you are purchasing an existing business, please:

  1. Download, fill out, and submit the Consulting Information Form.
  2. Complete the Initial Assessment for Purchasing a Business form.
  3. Please collect 3 years financials & tax returns of the business you are purchasing to discuss with your KSBDC consultant.
  4. Please collect the information on the asking price of the business you are purchasing to discuss this with your KSBDC consultant.
  5. Please get a listing of the assets included with the business purchase and their fair market value.
  6. Take a look at the the Checklist for Buying a Business and the Buying a Business Resources section on this website in advance of meeting with a KSBDC consultant.

Inventor

  1. Download, fill out, and submit the Consulting Information Form.
  2. Complete the Initial Assessment for Inventors form.
