Citizen’s Efficiency Task Force

The Board of County Commissioners believes in holding itself accountable in its obligation to the taxpayers to effectively utilize public resources. Given the County’s limited tax base and the projected fiscal constraints that will be faced by the County in the foreseeable future, the County Commissioners have determined that it is prudent and necessary to conduct a Management and Efficiency Study of County operations. We need to look for efficiency in government in the same manner business leaders have to do in the private sector.

Although the scope of the study is not necessarily meant to be comprehensive in nature, it shall include a review of key County functions. The objective of the study is to assess the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the County’s operations and to identify potential opportunities for the county to save money by operating more efficiently.”
