About the CDDO

The Cowley County Community Developmental Disability Organization Department (Cowley County CDDO Department) was created by county resolution number 2010-06, and operates in accordance with the Developmental Disabilities Reform Act (K.S.A. 39-1801 et seq) and Article 64 of the Kansas Administrative Regulations.

The CDDO Department’s mission is to provide efficient delivery of quality services to the developmentally disabled residents of Cowley County in accord with State Statutes and Kansas Administrative Regulations.

The CDDO Department serves as the single point of entry for anyone needing or inquiring about I/DD services in Cowley County.

Community Council

CDDO Advisory Board

A CDDO Department Advisory Board composed of seven members was created to ensure that developmentally disabled individuals in Cowley County receive efficient delivery of services. The CDDO Advisory Board actively participates in the operations of the CDDO Department (in an advisory capacity)and makes formal recommendations anually to the Cowley County Board of Commissioners concerning the functions and responsibilities of the CDDO Department.

Affiliate Information

Anyone providing services to developmentally disabled individuals must “affiliate” with the CDDO in the area.   Individuals providing Supportive Home Care, agencies providing Day and Residential Supports and/or Case Management, as well as those providing Assistive Services must maintain their Affiliate Agreement. If you need more information or have any questions, please call our office at 620-221-5404.
