COWLEY COUNTY COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS

 

Mission

Cowley County Community Corrections mission is to provide a viable, cost-effective alternative to incarceration for non-violent offenders; to promote offender rehabilitation and offender accountability without compromising public safety.

 

Vision

Cowley County Community Corrections is dedicated to providing justice and safety in our community through:

 

  • Utilizing a community corrections approach that is community oriented, evidence based, and instills within the individual accountability and responsibility for their actions.
  • Maintaining a strong collaborative partnership with all criminal justice and social and human services agencies involved in our community.
  • Encouraging the growth and well-being of all staff members.

 

FY 17 Goals/Objectives

 

Goal #1: During SFY 2017, Cowley County Community Corrections will maintain a successful offender termination rate of at least 75%.

 

Objective #1: 75% of offenders who are terminated from probation supervision will be successfully terminated.

 

Evaluation Component: Data from TOADS system will be used to evaluate this goal and objective. The following components will be utilized:

 

  • Total number of offenders closed in SFY 2017
  • Total number of offenders closed successfully in SFY 2017
  • Total number of offenders revoked in SFY 2017

 

Goal #2:  Cowley County Community Corrections will begin case management audits related to Fidelity and Quality Assurance by October 1, 2016.

 

Objective #1: By October 1 2016, the agency, Director and Deputy Director will have completed refresher training by KDOC in Fidelity and Quality Assurance.

 

Objective #2: By October 1, 2016, the agency will have updated written policy and procedures in place regarding the Fidelity and Quality Assurance process to be utilized in case management.

 

Objective #3: By October 1, 2016, the Director and Deputy Director will begin the process of observing and documenting Fidelity and case management Quality Assurance within the agency.

 

Goal #3:  Cowley County Community Corrections will work with area stakeholders and community partners to enhance services and resources to our clients.

            Objective #1: By November 15, 2016, the agency will host an informational meeting with area business owners/managers and area stakeholders, to provide information about the agency and our goals, and how we can all work together to achieve those goals and enhance our community.

Objective #2: By October 1, 2016, the Director will have sent invitations to area stakeholders and community partners inviting them to the meeting.

Objective #3: The Director will maintain contact with area stakeholders and community partners throughout the year and provide them with any updates or changes to the agency.
