As a primary contact for the Kansas Department of Commerce, one of Cowley First’s responsibilites is to maintain a list of industrial and commercial sites available in the county with an emphasis on the industrial parks in Winfield, Arkansas City and Strother Field. As a member of Kansas Economic Development Alliance (KEDA), Cowley First has access to the web-based database referred to as LOIS or Location One. This is a nationally recognized site utilized by site locators. It is also a very user-friendly system that allows us, Cowley First, to “store” information on available sites in the county including but not limited to the site or building size, utilities, number of docks, ceiling heights, zoning information, photos, etc.  This system also has unique features including twelve various census based reports including demographic, market profiles, income profiles, business summaries and much more. These reports are useful to not just site locators but also businesses, industries, banking and lenders and other end user who may visit our site.
