Cowley County Facilities Management Luncheon

Cowley County Facilities Management group will be meeting November 7, 2018 from 11:30 a.m.1:00 p.m. at the Winfield Public Library, 605 College Street. Area facility and project managers are invited to the free lunch event for a presentation on pavement maintenance and preparing for the upcoming winter season.

Jacob Wayman, Cornejo Construction Business Development Director, presentation titled ‘Pavement Maintenance-Your Guide to Parking Lot Bliss’ will not only cover important issues including snow and ice removal but will also encompass maintenance worries that can lead to costly damage if not addressed properly.

Cowley First, Conco Construction, Cornejo Construction and Mahaney Roofing are hosting and cosponsoring the luncheon. In addition to Wayman of Cornejo Construction, other area experts will also address weatherization issues during the presentation and luncheon.

Area employers are invited to send their facility managers, maintenance supervisors and workers, project leaders and financial directors to this free presentation and luncheon for the opportunity to network with others employed in the same field of work.

The luncheon is an effort by Cowley First-Cowley County Economic Development and Mahaney Roofing to grow a Facility Managers network in Cowley County to provide support to local facility mangers and planners as well as maintenance technicians. The Cowley County Facilities Management Network gathers over lunch on a quarterly basis and invites speakers to present a topic that aligns with one of the eleven core competencies of facilities management.
