2018 Cowley County Job Fair has been rescheduled to March 1!

The Cowley County Job fair has been rescheduled due to the weather. However, the annual event will still be held at the the same location and time, at Cowley College Brown Center – Wright Room, 215 S 2nd Street, Arkansas City on Thursday, now March 1, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

With 21 local businesses offering a wide variety of positions including manufacturing, law enforcement, maintenance, construction and a broad range of jobs in the medical field, employers will be meeting with job seekers and accepting resumes and applications at the event.

Businesses include: Arkansas City Police Department, City of Arkansas City, Conco Construction, Cowley County Sheriff’s Office, Creekstone Farms Premium Beef, Easter Seals Capper Foundation, Express Employment, Four County Mental Health, Galaxy Technologies, KanPak, KSOK Radio, Kansas Department of Corrections/Winfield Correctional Facility, Mosaic, RCB Bank, S and Y Industries, Silgand (formerly WestRock), South Central Kansas Medical Center, SouthWind ResCare, The Arnold Group, Twin Rivers Developmental, USD 465, USD 470, William Newton Hospital and Western Industries.

Job Seekers are encouraged to attend and come dressed to impress.  Free resume assistance and online job search will be also provided by the Workforce Centers of South Central Kansas/Cowley Workforce Center and the KansasWORKS Mobile Unit.

During the job fair attendees may visit with Cowley College Admissions and Cowley College Health and Human Services about training and educational programs offered locally. In addition ECCEL, Kansas Army National Guard, Kansas Air National Guard and Small Business Administration (SBA) representatives will be participating at the job fair.
